The kids' club, The Reef, is located at the aft of the ship on Deck 17. Accessed by a long corridor painted sky blue with white clouds, The Reef is P&O Cruises' biggest dedicated, supervised children's club for ages two to 17-years-old in the fleet. Sailaway parties take place here, with a live DJ and dancing. It's a large space and, despite the number of passengers onboard, it never felt crowded. There is a shallow paddling pool between the two main pools, for toddlers. (Swim nappies are OK here.) There is also a plunge pool at the aft of Deck 17.
Britannia Bars and Lounges
She’s also home to 15 bars and cafés, including Market Café. Britannia is a family-friendly ship and offers age specific children’s clubs on board. "More details of the celebration cruise, including special guest entertainers and other surprises, will be revealed later closer to the sailing." Evening Casual includes long skirts, dresses, trousers, smart shirts and similar attire. Tailored shorts are allowed in the buffet and The Glass House on Evening Casual nights.

Britannia Ship Profile & Stats
Britannia was officially named on 10 March 2015 by Queen Elizabeth II at the Ocean Terminal. Launched in spring 2015, Britannia was the largest ship built exclusively for Britain. She combines signature P&O Cruises features with the very latest innovations in dining, entertainment and modern design.
Cabins Dining Entertainment Drinks
There's more to life at sea than simply watching the world go by. From organised activities to retail therapy or simply relaxing by the pool, everyone is sure to have the time of their life onboard P&O Britannia. Treat the family to a meal that everyone will love at the American-style Beach House.
Is Britannia a good ship to cruise on?
The balcony stretches the length of the rooms so there is plenty of space for sun loungers and deck chairs. (A shallow paddling pool can be found on the Lido Deck.) There are also little (foot-powered) buggies for the smaller ones to 'drive' around in. In addition to Reef events, the Cookery Club runs Family Classes designed for kids to get hands on experience in the kitchen. Each adult can bring along one or two children between the ages of 8 and and the children cook for free.
If you're looking for flexible, anytime dining, head to The Meridian or Peninsular restaurants, while more traditional cruise ship dining can be found at The Oriental. We're torn on which dining venue to recommend, as Atul Kochhar's Sindhu is sublime in the evening, but Epicurean is not open for lunch. Britannia's Sindhu is the first to have its own bar, which offers tapas-style Indian dishes at lunchtime from £4.95. The dishes are based on the main menu and might include spiced lamb cakes, jai tarang (pan-fried hand-dived scallops) and gosht ke dhuandhar sole (marinated smoked beef skewers). It's a perfect way to sample this exquisite cuisine, and it will likely sway you to book in the evening.
Around the ship, you are permitted to wear t-shirts, shorts, trousers, sundresses, skirts, sweaters and other items depending on the weather. No swimwear is allowed in the inside bars, restaurants, reception or lounges. Similarly to the rest of the P&O Cruises’ fleet, in the evenings there are two dress codes, which include Evening Casual and Black Tie. Splashers is a lovely big space with loads for little ones to do, including a soft play area with a slide, a creative play area with Play-Doh and crayons, a puppet theatre, dressing up area and a library.

Britannia's maiden voyage took place 14–28 March 2015, and included visits to Spain, Italy and France. Britannia was ordered in 2011 and was laid down on 15 May 2013.[7] The ship was built at the Fincantieri yard at Monfalcone in Italy. Surfers have a packed daily itinerary, with shipwide hide and seek, circus skills, bowling, plate spinning, a pirate hunt and duel, and talent shows. The welcome parties and events such as The Reef's Got Talent show and kids' discos take place during the afternoon in the Live Lounge, 10 decks below. Lectures and seminars go on all day -- everything from how to tackle puffy eyes to improving the way you walk and how to control unruly hair.

It's an odd spot, somewhat marooned, and it's unclear why P&O has chosen to put it here when the 'outdoor spa' area -- The Retreat -- is 12 floors above it. Theoretically, you could be wandering around the ship in your dressing gown if you booked a day in The Retreat along with your spa treatment. A selection of tonic waters, including Fevertree, Fentiman's and Bottlegreen, complement the gins.
There, you get a perfect view of the breathtaking starburst sculpture, made from shards of aluminium that constantly change colour. During that time, the ship carried + passengers, who consumed ~ cocktail drinks, ~2,8 million cups of tea, + scones. On MS Britannia, P&O also introduced a try-before-you-buy program with consultant-managing tasting tables in the ship's beauty and make-up areas.
The vessel is the first Monfalcone-made cruise ship with 2 funnels. The last ocean liner with 2 funnels (SS Eugenio C) was delivered by Monfalcone shipyard in 1966. Whether you want a casual swim or to relax in the hydrotherapy pool or on the sun loungers, there are plenty of places to take a dip.
P&O Britannia itinerary program is based on homeporting in Southampton England and Bridgetown Barbados. Follows the complete list of Britannia lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens, and adults. The boat has 17 decks, of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 8 with cabins.
